I am a certified 5-PATH practitioner and teacher of 7th Path Self-Hypnosis. I have a certificate in Hypnosis for Sex Problems (150 hours) from the Intimate Hypnosis Training Center in Eugene, Oregon. Notice: AS THE STATE OF FLORIDA HAS NOT ADOPTED EDUCATIONAL AND TRAINING STANDARDS FOR THE PRACTICE OF HYPNOTISM, THIS STATEMENT OF CREDENTIALS IS FOR INFORMATIONAL PURPOSES ONLY. Hypnotism is a self-regulating profession, and its practitioners are not typically licensed by state governments. Under Florida Law, a hypnotist may not provide a medical diagnosis, use hypnosis to treat physical or mental illnesses without supervision or referral from a licensed health care provider, or recommend discontinuance of medically prescribed treatments. If a client desires a diagnosis or another type of treatment from a different practitioner, the client may seek such services at any time. Clients should not make changes in medications without medical supervision. A client has a right to refuse hypnotism services at any time. In the event my services are terminated by a client, the client has a right to coordinated transfer of services to another practitioner.
Other Client Rights:
Professional Relationship: My services are offered as a form of motivational coaching supported by hypnosis work and non-therapeutic hypnotism, defined as the use of hypnosis to inculcate positive thinking and the capacity for self-hypnosis. I also provide recreational hypnosis for personal enrichment, relaxation, and stress management. I do not represent my services as any form of health care, mental health counseling, or psychotherapy. Although coaching and/or hypnotism are generally beneficial for most people, I cannot guarantee specific results. If you are dissatisfied with my services at any time, please let me know. You have the right to discuss and/or refuse any techniques or suggestions that you believe might be inappropriate for you.
Redress: I am a member of the National Guild of Hypnotists (NGH) and practice in accordance with the NGH Code of Ethics and Standards. If you have a complaint about my services or behavior that I cannot resolve for you personally, you may contact the National Guild of Hypnotists at P. O. Box 308, Merrimack, NH 03054-0308, (603) 429-9438, to seek redress.
Fees and Payments: For most clients, multiple sessions are necessary to create lasting change. Coaching programs and multi-session packages offer more value. The cost of up to two individual sessions may be applied to a multi-session package.
Payment is due upon booking. Credit cards are processed through Stripe, a safe and reputable payment processor. Venmo, PayPal, Zelle, offline payments, and custom payment plans can be arranged upon request.
Scheduling and Cancellation Policy: To reschedule or cancel an appointment, please do so at least 24 hours in advance through the Paperbell system https://paperbellclient.com or by contacting me directly at teri@pointbreakhypnosis.com or 321-222-3374. Refunds are not available for appointments canceled with less than 24 hours notice.
Recording of Sessions: I may record audio from hypnosis sessions for my private review and professional development. These recordings are not considered part of your client record or shared elsewhere. You may request that your sessions not be recorded, and I will acknowledge your request in writing. Otherwise, you consent to audio recording for this purpose. You agree that you will not record audio or video from our sessions without my written or recorded consent.
Confidentiality and Security of Your Information: Client records are confidential. I will not release your information to anyone without a written authorization from you, except as provided by law. Your privacy is important to me and I take precautions to safeguard your information, such as using protected folders and keeping coded notes separate from personal information.
Insurance: Insurance companies typically do not cover coaching or non-therapeutic hypnosis. I suggest you think of my services as a personal investment in your well-being. That will both protect your privacy and help you value the work you are doing more.
Referrals: Not all conditions presented by clients are appropriate for coaching, sex education, or hypnosis work. For some people, screening or treatment by a medical professional or a licensed therapist may be more appropriate or necessary. If this is the case, as a courtesy I will try to provide resources for referrals, but clients are responsible for contacting and evaluating those resources. I do not guarantee results and assume no liability for referrals or suggested resources.
Conditions of Our Appointments: I reserve the right to postpone a session or terminate the professional relationship if (i) I feel you will be better served by a therapist, medical doctor, or other type of helping professional; (ii) you come to a session notably impaired by alcohol or drugs; (iii) I cannot provide you with appropriate services due to illness or unavoidable personal events; (iv) I believe you have withheld relevant medical or personal information; (v) I find you have misunderstood the nature of our professional relationship.
My Approach: I believe that coaching and hypnosis are highly effective tools for helping people achieve more of their innate potential. Hypnosis can be used in many ways to improve a person’s general functioning, making a dramatic difference in their lifestyle, success, and feeling of well-being. It is a natural state of mind and a wonderful way to take control of your life. I consider any healing that takes place to be self-healing. My role is to inspire, offer guidance, promote insight, and help you to become self-empowered to make changes both consciously and subconsciously. Techniques may include but are not limited to conversational coaching, hypnosis, self-hypnosis instruction, relaxation training, visualization, home assignments, written resources, and videos.
About Hypnotism (Hypnosis): Hypnotism promotes intuitive insights and delivers positive suggestions during deep relaxation. Clients remain aware and under control while in hypnosis. Hypnotism is complementary to medical, mental health, and wellness activities. It does not replace treatment by licensed medical or mental health professionals. Hypnotists are not licensed. Hypnotists and hypnotherapists are certified professionals, pledged to meet the highest standards set forth by the National Guild of Hypnotists or other professional hypnotist organizations. I practice according to the NGH Code of Ethics and Standards. If you have questions about any aspect of hypnosis or its suitability for your situation, I encourage you to ask me.
About Sex Coaching and Education: The professional practice of sex coaching and sexology is grounded in the study of human sexuality and gender. Sex coaches understand that accurate information and positive support are essential to fostering pleasure, emotional intimacy, and sexual health. Sex coaches are not licensed. Sex coaching:
